Progressive Rock mixed with Acid Punk, that's pretty much what Triclops! is. Genre-wise, though, because their music is so much more. Explosions of guitars, edgy yet agressive vocals and blasting drums make this four-piece stand out quite from others in the Progressive Rock genre as it is really something else. It took me a while to get used to since because of really not being like anything else out there, but eventually I really started to dig it, partially for that exact same reason. They've released two albums, an EP and a 7'' single, but sadly decided to call it quits in 2010.

The Galileo Affair - Demo
About a month ago, the You Got Talent?-band was From The Makers Of. The Galileo Affair is actually a band very close to that, since it's one of the two bands (next to The Black Dog Man) that merged into From The Makers Of. The group formed many years ago with Guitarist Matt Magnell and Drummer Billy Giasson in middle school days. You can expect a sound similar to, but not the same as From The Makers Of as The Galileo Affair's is a little bit more Hardcore-oriƫnted here and there. They were shortlived as the merging came quite quickly after formation and have only released this three-track demo.

A Voice Like Rhetoric - Ethos
Technical and fast, tempo changes, grabbing influences from At the Drive-In, Botch, Cursive, Faraquet and Minus the Bear, to name a few, A Voice Like Rhetoric has started to open both ears and eyes among
onlookers. Although this release is from 2006 and they haven't really released anything else, this album has always been one of my alltime favourites in the Experimental/Progressive Rock genre.

You Got Talent, Sun Eater?
Sun Eater is a psychedelic stoner trio from Tacoma, WA. Comprised of
three college students between the ages of 19 and 20, they're
bringing a fresh sound to the psych rock genre with emphasis on heavy
riffs, intense guitar solos and quality. Founded in the fall of 2011 by
Ben Block and Kirby Lochner, they soon picked up Daniel Salas on the
drums and the band has been performing under this line-up ever since. With diverse musical
backgrounds between the three members, Sun Eater is sure to turn heads
with a strong and new sound. Working hard in the basement for the past six
months they finally released their debut EP, recorded at the
band's home in Washington state, on April 9th, 2012.
They've recently played at Alder Arts Walk on April 28th, of which a video is included, and I'm certain they're headed for big things. Support these guys!
"The trio seems to live inside long and elongated almost fragile compositions that thrive on a hypnotic and steady rhythm and a howling guitar. They take inspirational queues from Colour Haze, Sleep, Earthless and to a lesser extent the guitar freak out bands from the seventies. And apart from a sneaky sudden scream resonating from deep in some dark and dismal hole there is not a note or tone too many. Most importantly they dare to keep it that ‘simple’ and with that honesty make the three songs on their self titled debut EP a profound experience" - StonerHive
"Stunning heavy psychedelic music" - KeepGem
"This next one was making the blog rounds recently and rightfully so, when something kicks as much ass as this, it’s too good to NOT share." - The Soda Shop
Tracklisting - Sun Eater EP:
1. Sun Eater
2. Horse Head
3. Moth Ra

Secret Band - Secret Band EP
From the nice people who brought you Dance Gavin Dance comes a sideproject (or primary, for as long as Dance Gavin Dance singer Jonny Craig is out of it) that will blow your brains to tiny bits all over the floor.
Secret Band is an Experimental Post-Hardcore band from Sacramento, California.
They were formed out of the dissolution of several other bands
including Farewell Unknown, Ghost Runner on Third, and the aforementioned Dance
Gavin Dance. They self-released this first EP, self titled "Secret
Band" on September 1st, 2011 and are currently pre-producing new songs for what could be a full-length.
